Kids Headboards

So a few weeks ago we moved everyone's mattresses to the floor in preparation for Jaspers arrival in about a month.  Trying to get everyone adjusted to new sleeping arrangements before he gets here.  So far so good, Cherry has been sleeping the same as she had been in her crib, she doesn't seem to mind the change.  Now the main issue is they have decided the mattress make great trampolines so it's a constant battle to get them to stop jumping on the beds.  Call us party poopers, but it's a rule in our casa.  So in order for them to stop bumping their heads against the wall and make the mattresses look a little more bed like and not so much mattress thrown on the floor I made these easy, cheap head boards.  They are simply 1/2" foam board covered in a few layers of quilt batting and some fun fabric, then they are adhered to the wall with command strips.  They turned out exactly how I envisioned them and the girls love the play with their cars on the "zig zags".  One more project checked off the list = )

Easter Dresses

This is the result of taking 3 1/2 year olds to the fabric store and telling them they can pick out their own fabric for Easter dresses.  LOL.  We're not actually doing anything special, just staying home and doing a lil' egg hunting and chocolate eating and probably lunch/ dinner with Mamie & Granddaddy, so I decided these would be ok.  Although, if we decide to go see and take photos with the Easter bunny, it'll be a very memorable year as far as wardrobe goes = )

I'll post photos when the dresses are finished = )

Baby Party

We had a wonderful baby shower this weekend for baby Jasper.  My mom and dad drove all the way from North Carolina just to host a shower for us then turned around and drove all the way back.  Best parents ever.  The kids and I had so much fun spending the short amount of time with them, it really makes me sad they are not closer.
Our friends are amazing!  We got some great goodies as gifts, much needed clothes and some adorable toys (that aren't pink).  My parents commented on what a nice group of friends we have.  We really are lucky to have each and every one of them in our lives.  Here are a few fun photos from the shower!  Thank goodness my mom was on camera duty, because I didn't take a single photo!

New Sleeping Arrangements

Just set the girls mattresses up on the floor to get everyone situated before the new baby is born (just about 1.5 months left).  I can't wait to see how this works out.  The new sleeping arrangements have also sprung a new craft!  Headboards so they don't bang their heads on the wall.  Really excited about designing and picking out fabric for this project!  Here are the three little monkeys!
