This is how Abby and Zoey watch a movie, just in case there is a scarey part, they can run up stairs, LOL. |
Movie and Popcorn for Lunch
Spending the day at home today, getting laundry and misc. other things done around the house. Treating the kids to a movie and popcorn for lunch. Watching Robin Hood (the 1973 animated version). Jasper is finally taking a decent nap. The past few days I haven't had my coffee in the morning and it seems he indeed naps better during the day minus the caffeine. This is a very sad realization. I love my coffee. But I love a happy, well rested Jasper better. Sorry for now coffee, you will be missed.
More Baby Stuff - 3 weeks old
PS Check out this amazing handmade blankie Erin made Jasper. She even made booties to match! Makes the perfect backdrop for photos.
Friday Funday
Started the morning off with a visit to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. I haven't taken the kids since before Cherry was walking, so it was her first visit that she was able to really look at the turtles and fish. She was pretty excited, walking around yelling "turtle". I meant to take some photos of the turtles, but that plan went out the window while making sure the three girls were staying close and nursing Jasper.
The trip ended up being exhausting for everyone. Jasper had a melt down in the car and I had to park at a gas station for nearly 30 minutes so he could nurse and calm down. Then every time I put him back in his car seat he started to scream again. Ended up just going for it, rolling the windows down, and crossing my fingers. Luckily it worked and he fell asleep almost instantly. Everyone went down for a nap as soon as we got home (thank god).
Now we're wrapping up the day with a little homemade pizza and 1977 Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

The O.C.
LOVE this song and LOVE this series. Summer is approaching and I've got a real urge to watch this whole series again, such a great show. Makes me want to be 18 again = )
This to That - Doll House Extream Makeover Sneak Peak
I found this amazing hand made wooden doll house 2 years ago at Goodwill for $20. I had to have it. Abby and Zoey have never really been too into it, it has no furniture, it served more as storage than anything. A few weeks ago, I took everyone to Micheal's and had the girls each pick out some scrapbook paper and some paint colors and we came home and started remodeling the doll house. It is only partially finished, but they have played with it more the past few weeks than they have for 2 years. Here is a little sneak peak.
The interior - all white, all boring
Abby painting her room. Zoey got bored painting the room and decided to paint daddy a picture instead
Sneak Peak!
Making some furniture and accessories too!
Here are some inspiration images
We Survived!!!
Our first outing, just me and all the kids. Took everyone to Panera for bagels. Jasper slept the whole time and the girls were on top of their game with their manners. I will admit, getting everyone in the car was a bit tricky. It's like a Rubix Cube, taking car seats out and pushing seats forward, buckling everyone in. One wrong move and I have to start the whole thing over, LOL.
The first Week
Baby Jasper is here, and it's already been a whole week since his arrival.
Here is a slightly short version of Jasper's birth story, don't worry, I don't go into any gross details. Last Friday we had a normal doctors appt, where I found out I was already 4cm dilated. Basically as close to being in labor, with out being in labor as I could get. We left the Dr. and decided to hang out close to the hospital for a bit, luckily there is a mall conveniently right across the street. We went in one store, then let the girls play in the chaos that is the indoor play area at the mall. Left the mall to get some dinner at Panera, where I calmly told Josh I thought it would be a good Idea to call his parents and have them meet us at the Hospital. At this point I'm pretty sure I was having contractions. Got to the hospital, yes they were contractions, got all hooked up to the IV, filled out all my paper work and requested my epidural. Josh's parents got there, said hi, and brought the kids back to their house for a slumber party. Shortly after, the anesthesiologist showed up and Josh left the room (he doesn't do well with needles). Epidural was good. Just a bit later, pushed my nurse button, Dr. came in, 3 pushes later Jasper was born and we were all happy campers!
So far he has been a wonderful baby, taking long naps and sleeping decently at night. Abby, Zoey and Cherry have been the most amazing big sisters, constantly wanting to hug, kiss and bring him My Little Ponies. They have adjusted better than I ever could have hoped. We've all had our moments this first week, but it has been surprisingly pleasant with the big change. And I am really impressed with Josh and my ability to keep our house running smoothly, keeping up with laundry and dishes and keeping the girls in their routine as much as possible. We're kinda awesome if I do say so my self.
